I didn't get an email, but I checked my case status online and it has changed to Decision today. Waiting to get the snail mail. Hopefully, it will move to card production ordered soon. My wife has a FP appt on Jul 15, so I wasn't expecting to get approval before that, but I guess sometimes the surprises are pleasant.

My driver's license has come up for renewal in Feb 2009. I have 2 yrs EAD.I have send my H1 for renewal but it has not got yet approved..
My employer suggessted that I use my EAD card to get my license renewed. In Ideal case I would like to use my approved H1 to renew my license. However since its taking time for my H1 renewal can I use my EAD card to get my license renewed.

Thanks for the reply. But I have not yet received the approval. I have just received the receipt of H1B transfer application, and I am worried if they would not approve H1B transfer application since middle name has a typo. Please reply.

Hello I am in H4 in usa.
I have applied for change of status to H1b this year, but still now I haven't received the decision form USCIS.
In the mean time, my H4 status along with I-94 is getting experied by the end of this month Oct. I am not able to file H4 extension as this would overlay my probable H1b status.
Now, If I dont get any decision on my H1b and I don't file H4 extention by the end of this month, what would be status after that? Would I become Out Of Status? What should I do under this situation?

I am not an attorney but questions related to your employer etc should not be asked if you enter on AP. They are more focused on those questions when one enters using a work visa of some sorts. I suggest you enter asap using your AP given that it expires in a month get your green card in hand and then you are free man. You can even go back work out of the country for a limited time until you find a project here. By the way congratulations.

I am on my 2nd phase of H1B visa which is valid until 2012.
I want to quit my job and go back to my home country.
How long after I quit my job do I get to stay here to wrap up and ship my stuff??
Does that jeopardize my status? I plan to be here for about 30 days after quitting my job. WOuld that be ok? or is it overstaying?
If I ever need to apply for a tourist visa in future will this jeopardize my chances of getting a visa then?

Can anyone please recommend a lawyer in Delhi for filling and helping in the I-824 or councillor processing for my Wife.

I am just wondering if notice date and receipt date combination means anything in terms of when the EAD will be processed?
I think so since lots of people with receipt date same as mine, who have their EADs approved had an earlier notice date .
Also other people with same notice date with EADs approved had an earlier receipt date.
Just trying to gather some evidence here.

But what I need is the Employer Offer letter to me. They gave me a letter with some 3 lines saying my job title, Salary and start date. It does not include the Job responsibilities. It does not even say the word "Full Time". When I asked them they said that is their standard format.
Do you have format that I can use. I want to send them and insist that I get the letter in that format.

My Labor was denied for the following reason -
Neither the earliest date listed for a recruitment step on ETA Form 9089, 03/20/2008 listed in XXX and XXX, nor the date the application was filed 8/27/2008 fall within the Prevailing wage determination validity period of 4/21/200-7/20/2008. This indicates the employer did not begin recruitement, not file the application during the Prevailing wage determination period.
Can you guys please suggest what could be done. Letter states we can ask for a review. But lawyer thinks we have start the process from the begining.
Would appreciate susgestion ASAP. Have only 15 days to respond.

Depending on your state of residence this may not be enforceable on the part of vendor "y" as this is restricting flow of labor. Find out what the labor law says about such situation in your state.
Also since vendor "y" is not your employer such a restriciton may not apply anywhere!

I am not getting paid equivalent to what is there in my LC. Is there any problem to get approval of my I-458?The I-485 has nothing to do with your salary, it is the "Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status". It makes a difference for your I-140 application, though, but you will need to re-phrase your question then.

Yes I declared my arrest in I485 and have got my EAD and AP aproved.
