Has anyone heard about the immigrant advocacy groups that are planning a protest march on Washington one day after Obama's inaguration. They plan to demand that immigration raids stop and that immigration reform be taken up during the first 100 days of Obama's administration (while recognizing that the economy comes first)
The marches are apparently being organized by the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA). These news are very fresh and thus far I have only seen it on Spanish language media (3 different online newspapers). Here is the note in Spanish: http://www.chirla.org/node/246
Should we march ourselves for legal immigrants? Send flowers? The inaguration and following days will be very visible.

What happens if someone who has a pending employment based I-485 (EB3/ROW/PD:03/07, July 07 Filer) is selected for the Green Card DV Lottery?

Gurus,
I have labor pending from a State A, now my employer is asking me to move to State B. However, my employer is willing to keep alive, labor process from State A and is also ready to file new labor from State B. Question is if labor A gets approved and if I apply I-140 on that labor, do I have to reapply I-140 for labor B, once labor B gets approved or I can use the same I-140?
Help is appreciated.

Whether it is LCA for H1 or PERM labor for GC it is location specific, unless one filed(or able to file) AC21 after July '07 fiasco, you need to have labor to a specific job to the specific location you will be working.
Either job or the location changes you need to start allover again, in some cases you can recapture (or port) your priority date.

It looks as though they have updated their page. Previously they were suggesting people apply 180 days in advance.
You are right a month ago it used to say 180 days as I have a print out and now it say's 120 days...since we are dealing with notorious USCIS who are very popular of doing such silent updates and there won't be any track of updated time stamp or date stamp anywhere on this website...(which is another useless page) I guess they do it on purpose and not sure if you remember recently how they changed dates for NSC & TSC for 140 processing dates etc....

i am switching employers and i have about 10k in my 401k with current employer. my next employer does not have the option to start 401k until after one year of service.i am looking for options to rollover my 401k to a IRA in a company. does anyone have any recommendations?thanks in advance
I still have my 401K from my old job that I quit about 3 yrs back into the same (company's) account. The reason I didn't roll them into IRA is that I prob would have made the same selection of mutual funds that I currently have in my 401K. The company is stable so no worries there. Point is, move your money only if you think it will serve you a better purpose or else wait for your new 401K to kick in and after that just roll over the other account directly into the new one...
Just my 2 cents, of course...

dont worry about it. As long as you can prove that you have been treated/or under treatment, this will not hold your application. This will increase / slightly delay your initial application , but otherwise u shouldnt have any problems

My H1b was approved in feb 2010 for location A.Before I could start working at location A,my company found a better client (close to home,better pay) at location B .(different state).
what should my company do or have done with regards to lca for me to work at location b.
should lca have been approved before I moved to location b or could it be filed after i started working at location b. If lca was filed after I started working, is that ok.If not, how do we correct this.
